Before the filling and sanding, I did the drilling. As you will see, I did the hinges holes, the clip hole and the magnet holes. I built several devices to hold the piece of resin and do them.

Some of them require precision, like the ones for the magnets. Other way, the magnets won’t be able to do their work. Hinges holes are very important too, other way the cover won’t match the body and won’t look good.
